Hot sectors include self-selected stocks, data centers, market trends, capital flows, and a simulated trading client. As of July 31, the Hong Kong stock market concluded the month with all three major indices in positive territory, with the Hang Seng Index rising over 13%, the Hang Seng Tech Index gaining more than 7%, and the State-owned Enterprises Index climbing over 13%. On the final trading day, the three major indices showed mixed results.

At the close, the Hang Seng Index edged up 0.1% to 25,884.43 points, the Hang Seng Tech Index increased 0.53%, while the State-owned Enterprises Index fell 0.38%. In sector performance, tech and internet stocks were mixed: Lenovo Group Ltd surged over 9%, Alibaba Group Holding Ltd rose more than 4%, Xiaomi Corp dropped over 7%, and JD.com Inc declined more than 1%. Memory concept stocks saw substantial gains, with the two-times leveraged ETF tracking SK Hynix soaring over 67%. PCB concept stocks led the rally, with Guanghe Technology Co Ltd rising more than 20%. Oil stocks retreated, with PetroChina Co Ltd falling over 2%.

Memory concept stocks experienced a surge, with the two-times leveraged ETF tracking SK Hynix climbing over 67%. South Korea's KOSPI index closed up 1,001.88 points, or 17.91%, at 6,595.44 points, marking its largest single-day closing gain in history. SK Hynix shares rose 30%, hitting the daily limit, while Samsung Electronics Co Ltd gained nearly 27%, with both setting new single-day percentage increase records.

PCB concept stocks led the gains, with Guanghe Technology Co Ltd surging over 20%. According to a research report from CITIC Securities, the sector experienced a significant adjustment in July, leading to a marked decline in valuations for related stocks. However, the industry's fundamentals remain robust: order certainty for semiconductor equipment continues to strengthen, domestic computing power orders and supply chain stockpiling are expected to accelerate, demand for AI servers is driving sustained momentum in PCB and AI power supplies, memory price trends are becoming clearer, and opportunities in the supply chain are gradually expanding to consumer electronics. The report suggests that current price adjustments have placed some high-quality stocks in a valuation trough, and a convergence of earnings realization and valuation recovery is anticipated, presenting investment opportunities after the oversold conditions.

Oil stocks retreated, with PetroChina Co Ltd falling over 2%. Overnight, international crude oil futures prices declined across the board. The September contract for WTI crude oil closed at $83.59 per barrel, down 1.03%, while the September contract for Brent crude oil settled at $89.03 per barrel, a drop of 1.88%, marking a significant single-day correction. Market attention is focused on the upcoming OPEC+ meeting, where the organization is expected to announce a potential increase in daily oil supply by 188,000 barrels in September. The expectation of increased supply, combined with sluggish demand-side improvements, is putting pressure on oil prices.
