During the May Day holiday, a parent-child AI exploration event was held at Beijing's Shougang Park. Starting from the Taozhu Xinzao Ju store inside the park, the activity featured multiple exploration points such as the No. 3 Blast Furnace and Xiuchi Pond. With the help of an AI smart terminal called "Xiaofangji," families engaged in diverse interactive experiences amid the industrial relics and park landscapes.

Unlike traditional indoor activities, this event brought AI terminals into the open spaces of Shougang Park, turning the industrial heritage site into a festive space for parent-child interaction. Many children explored the area while using the terminal to learn about architecture, plants, and art installations, interacting with their parents about blast furnaces, steelmaking, and the park’s scenery. Participants also enjoyed taking photos to generate creative images, adding an extra layer of fun to the exploration.

In recent years, as artificial intelligence technology has increasingly entered educational and family settings, the question of how to leverage new technologies to support children’s development has gained public attention. Particularly in parent-child scenarios, parents are eager for their children to be exposed to AI early on, but also express concern about potential overreliance on devices. The event at Shougang Park represents an attempt to integrate AI terminals with real-world environments, allowing children to observe, ask questions, and interact outdoors for a richer learning experience.

Some parents noted that compared to screen-only interactions, bringing tech tools into physical settings more effectively stimulates children’s curiosity and encourages them to ask questions. As a key example of Beijing’s industrial heritage revitalization, Shougang Park has continually introduced cultural, technological, and family-friendly activities in recent years. Its blast furnaces, water features, plazas, and industrial architecture form a recognizable urban landscape, offering young people a learning environment distinct from classrooms and homes.

An event organizer stated that through the "AI + Parent-Child Exploration" format, they aim to seamlessly blend technology with the park’s spatial features, transforming the industrial site into a new kind of classroom where children can better understand the city and observe the world around them.
