On December 18, Qianwen App announced its integration with Amap, marking its first connection within Alibaba's ecosystem. This upgrade enables Qianwen's AI assistant to understand and interact with the physical world. The assistant now goes beyond answering questions—it can process real-time, dynamic data to bridge "intent comprehension" with "service execution."
Through system-level integration, Qianwen has tapped into Amap's vast geospatial database, including a real-time spatiotemporal engine handling over 100 billion daily requests and covering 200 million global POIs (points of interest). This grants Qianwen genuine "geospatial reasoning capabilities."
The latest version showcases this advancement. Instead of merely providing text-based suggestions, Qianwen can now leverage Amap's services—such as maps and local guides—to generate interactive decision cards. These cards display recommended restaurants, hotels, locations, and travel routes, allowing users to directly launch navigation or ride-hailing with a tap.
This integration is just the beginning. As Qianwen evolves, it will progressively connect with Alibaba's core services, including e-commerce, payments, and lifestyle offerings. The app aims to build a comprehensive real-world service network, accelerating its ability to "get things done" for users.
