On August 21st, the vivo Vision conference and imaging ceremony officially commenced this afternoon. During the event, vivo announced that the Sony LYT-828 sensor, jointly developed by vivo and Sony, is set to debut soon. This sensor serves as an upgraded version of the Sony LYT-818.

As expected, this sensor will make its debut with the vivo X300 series. The sensor boasts a dynamic range exceeding 100dB. This ultra-high dynamic range delivers enhanced brightness and contrast while expanding the color gamut, resulting in more realistic and immersive visual experiences in photographs.

In the latter half of last year, the vivo X200 series became the first to feature the Sony LYT-818 sensor, which offers 50 million effective pixels. This sensor significantly reduces noise under low-light conditions and provides extensive dynamic range capabilities. In high-contrast shooting scenarios, the LYT-818 effectively minimizes overexposure and underexposure issues.

As an iterative flagship model, the vivo X300 series' imaging performance is highly anticipated, with the new devices expected to launch in October.

Notably, vivo also previewed a new 200-megapixel sensor jointly developed with Samsung. It is expected that this sensor will also be integrated into the vivo X300 series.
