ZJ Innolight (03308) surged over 7% in early trading, with shares up 6.97% at 1,090 Hong Kong dollars, generating a turnover of 609 million HKD. Recent data from the Hong Kong Stock Exchange shows JPMorgan increased its stake in ZJ Innolight H-shares by 362,700 units on August 6. Following this purchase, JPMorgan's holding in ZJ Innolight H-shares has risen to 15.60%.

Despite a recent pullback in ZJ Innolight stock, foreign investors have been consistently adding to their positions. Meanwhile, US optical communications firm Lumentum provided a first-quarter fiscal 2027 outlook that significantly exceeded expectations. The company forecasted first-quarter revenue between $1.23 billion and $1.28 billion, with the midpoint of the guidance range surpassing market consensus by over 8%. Adjusted earnings per share are projected at $4.05 to $4.35, with the midpoint exceeding market expectations by more than 16%.

Notably, in a conference call on July 28, ZJ Innolight addressed market rumors of a sharp price decline for the industry's 1.6T optical modules. The company stated that its average selling price (ASP) for 1.6T products is significantly higher than market rumors suggest, and there is no evidence of a price war in the industry. Currently, the overall industry demand is robust, with a shortage of raw materials and tight delivery schedules for 1.6T modules. Only a few manufacturers possess the capability for large-scale 1.6T delivery. The company affirmed that its product pricing is competitive and can sustainably maintain its gross margin levels.
