During the Global Smart Logistics Summit held today, Cainiao Group CEO Wan Lin discussed international logistics developments, stating, "Since the beginning of this year, Cainiao has progressively connected to serve major global e-commerce platforms. We will continue to focus on four core segments: global supply chain, cross-border logistics, overseas local express delivery, and logistics technology, serving global customers with dedication and innovation."
Wan Lin revealed that as a leading global supply chain company, Cainiao is strengthening China's supply chain on one hand by providing tiered services to meet diverse needs, while on the other hand, replicating China's advanced supply chain experience overseas, upgrading overseas warehouse operation standards, supporting Chinese brands' global expansion, and assisting international brands in their global deployment.
In cross-border logistics, Cainiao continues to strengthen its global network, intensifying aviation trunk routes to key markets including Europe, Latin America, and Southeast Asia. Cainiao's flagship "Global 5-Day Delivery" express service has added six new routes to core Eurasian countries: Vietnam, Singapore, Philippines, Hungary, Austria, and Qatar, with some routes already achieving 5 natural days delivery. Since the beginning of this year, Cainiao has established and deepened cross-border cooperation with multiple leading e-commerce platforms.
In overseas local express delivery development, Cainiao has been cultivating nine key markets including Spain, France, the United States, and Mexico, continuously expanding consumer coverage and enriching high-efficiency e-commerce services such as next-day delivery, two-day delivery, and weekend delivery. Since April this year, external orders for Cainiao's overseas local express delivery services have grown by over 200%.
Cainiao's logistics technology products are accelerating their global expansion. With innovative and cost-effective automation and digitalization solutions, global cooperation projects have reached over 800, serving 26 Fortune 500 companies. With AI empowerment, logistics is accelerating toward end-to-end unmanned operations.
Wan Lin pointed out that global e-commerce faces short-term changes and challenges. However, from a long-term perspective, as e-commerce penetration rates increase across countries and business models evolve, the e-commerce market will continue to grow.
This trend is driving logistics demand to shift from single models to a combined model of "cross-border direct mail + overseas warehouses + local delivery." In this context, logistics companies with global networks and stable fulfillment capabilities will establish stronger service advantages.
