According to media reports, a user from Jiangsu Province recently posted a video on social media claiming that their Xiaomi 13 phone suddenly exploded during normal use, injuring a young boy who was watching videos on the device. The child sustained injuries to his hands and lower limbs.

Some users discovered that the Xiaomi 13 was officially released on December 11, 2022, meaning it has been on the market for less than three years. In the comment section, multiple users claiming to own the same phone model expressed concern, stating "I never imagined a phone could explode during daily use" and "I hope the company will release investigation results as soon as possible."

Xiaomi customer service representatives stated that the cause of phone combustion requires professional testing to determine, and they cannot make direct judgments at this time.
