Booking Holdings (BKNG) shares soared 5.57% in after-hours trading following the release of its second-quarter financial results, which handily exceeded Wall Street expectations.

The online travel giant reported Q2 revenue of $7.4 billion, surpassing the FactSet consensus estimate of $7.19 billion. Adjusted earnings per share came in at $2.54, beating the analyst estimate of $2.45. Net income more than doubled from a year earlier to $2 billion, while GAAP EPS rose 131% to $2.53. The company also raised its expected annual run-rate savings from its Transformation Program to about $650 million, targeted for realization by the end of 2027.

The strong performance was driven by resilient international travel demand, with gross bookings up 9% to $51 billion and room nights increasing 5% to 325 million. For the third quarter, Booking Holdings forecast room nights growth of 3% to 5% and revenue growth of 4% to 6%, while full-year 2026 gross bookings growth is expected in the high single digits.
