A recent incident involving a voice assistant malfunction in a Lynk & Co Z20 car, which led to an accident on a highway, has been addressed by the automaker. Mu Jun, Deputy General Manager of Lynk & Co Sales Co., stated in a response, "Today, we promptly completed an optimization plan for the voice control system, which has now been pushed via an over-the-air update. Subsequently, while the vehicle is in motion, the headlights can only be turned off through manual control. Please rest assured."

The incident gained significant online attention after a video, filmed during high-speed travel, was shared by a user. The footage showed that while the driver intended to use a voice command to turn off the interior reading light, the car's infotainment system misinterpreted the instruction. This error resulted in the deactivation of all vehicle lights, ultimately causing the car to collide with a highway guardrail.
