On March 27, Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC) held its 2025 performance briefing. Vice President Wang Jingwu stated that by the end of 2025, the bank's corporate loan balance had reached 18.8 trillion yuan, maintaining a leading position among peers, with a net increase of 1.4 trillion yuan for the year. Significant progress was made, particularly in serving the manufacturing, commerce, and technology sectors.

Specifically, the bank's manufacturing loan balance was the first to exceed 5 trillion yuan, reaching new heights. It served 9 million commercial clients, expanding its outreach further. Additionally, the methods for supporting technological innovation have been refined, demonstrating stronger momentum for quality enhancement.

At the same time, Wang Jingwu indicated that ICBC will continue to prioritize corporate lending based on the needs of the real economy, monetary policy direction, and the bank’s operational realities.

First, guided by market demands, the bank will better serve the development of a modern industrial system. It will enhance financial support for key areas of new industrialization, improve supply chain ecosystems, and back special initiatives for advanced manufacturing clusters. The bank aims to fully serve 80 national-level clusters, helping them strengthen core competitiveness, support large-scale equipment upgrades, and promote effective investment expansion.

Second, with major projects as the focus, ICBC will intensify efforts to implement national strategic initiatives. Aligning with the "15th Five-Year Plan" and 109 major engineering projects, the bank will prioritize supporting the development of key infrastructures such as the national comprehensive transportation network, new energy systems, modern water networks, new infrastructure, agricultural and rural modernization, and urban renewal, contributing to the establishment of a modern infrastructure system.

Third, centering on customer needs, the bank will accelerate the enhancement of its service capabilities. ICBC will promote comprehensive financial solutions, adapt to evolving client demands, and integrate financing, intellectual support, technological assistance, and connectivity. By improving comprehensive service capabilities and creating differentiated competitive advantages, the bank aims to embed its high-quality services deeply into customers' industrial chains, supply chains, and ecosystems, striving to become their preferred value partner and better support economic transformation and the development of a modern industrial system.
