Financial disclosures released by the U.S. Office of Government Ethics show President Trump executed over 1,000 securities transactions in June, with substantial purchases in Berkshire Hathaway (BRK.B.US), Visa (V.US), Mastercard (MA.US), Palantir Technologies Inc. (PLTR.US), and Cintas (CTAS.US). The combined value of these trades ranged from $78.1 million to $263.1 million, with the filing only revealing a range rather than exact figures for each transaction.

The largest single transaction occurred on June 22, when Trump sold between $5 million and $25 million worth of the Vanguard Dividend Appreciation Index Fund ETF (VIG). His activity in Berkshire Hathaway included a purchase of $1 million to $5 million on June 18, followed by a smaller sale on June 24.

Trading in Palantir Technologies Inc. was particularly active. On June 3, he bought $1,001 to $15,000 worth of the software company's stock, then sold $15,001 to $50,000 on June 16, and offloaded $500,000 to $1 million on June 18. Following a peace agreement between the U.S. and Iran on June 14, he repurchased shares on June 23 and June 24.

Similar back-and-forth activity occurred with Meta, where Trump sold $1 million to $5 million on June 18 and made small purchases later in the month. Other companies in the mix included Coinbase (COIN.US) and Home Depot (HD.US).

Independent Management Framework

The White House maintains there is no conflict of interest, citing that Trump's investments are managed by independent entities. Eric Trump, executive vice president of the Trump Organization and son of the president, stated these assets have been placed in a blind trust.

White House spokesperson Davis Ingle said, "All holdings are maintained in discretionary accounts and invested through a computer-model-based portfolio that automatically replicates well-known indices such as the Schwab 1000 Index. Neither President Trump nor any family member has the ability to direct, influence, or provide input on how the portfolio is allocated or when securities are bought or sold. All investment decisions are made solely by independent managers."

In total, Trump has executed more than 21,000 securities transactions throughout 2025, often in bursts tied to market events he himself has triggered. The total value of these trades for the year ranges from $600 million to $1.86 billion, with occasional instances of buying and selling the same security on the same day.
