On June 8, iShares Philadelphia Semiconductor ETF rose 5.01% in regular trading, trading at $569.32/share, with trading volume of $1.514 billion. The rally was driven by NVIDIA and SK Hynix announcing a multi-year technology partnership to co-develop next-generation AI memory.

Under the agreement, SK Hynix will co-develop dedicated memory for NVIDIA's Vera Rubin AI supercomputer, Vera CPU, RTX Spark PCs, and Jetson Thor robotics platform, entering NVIDIA's AI infrastructure, personal AI, and physical AI markets. SK Hynix will also leverage NVIDIA's CUDA-X libraries and PhysicsNeMo framework to accelerate chip simulation and lithography workflows. CEO Jensen Huang confirmed SK Hynix will remain NVIDIA's largest memory partner.

The partnership released a clear strategic signal for the semiconductor supply chain. Combined with a technical rebound following last Friday's sharp selloff, the positive catalyst drove broad sentiment recovery and capital inflows across the chip sector.

The fund generally invests at least 80% of its assets in the component securities of its index and in investments with substantially identical economic characteristics, and may invest up to 20% in futures, options, swap contracts, cash, and cash equivalents. The fund is non-diversified.
