According to the latest data released by AVC, Xiaomi air conditioners exceeded Gree in online market sales for the first time in July (July 1-31), capturing a market share of 16.71% compared to Gree's 15.22%. This milestone marks Xiaomi's robust rise in the home appliance sector, drawing widespread industry attention.
Wang Hua from XIAOMI-W's public relations department commented when reposting related social media content: "I didn't expect the new era to arrive so quickly." His words revealed surprise and anticipation regarding Xiaomi's air conditioning market performance.
Previously, XIAOMI-W President Lu Weibing disclosed during a livestream that Xiaomi aims to become a leading home appliance brand in China by 2030. He noted that the home appliance industry is a century-old sector where Xiaomi still has much to learn, praising Midea and Haier as excellent companies and expressing hope to jointly become leading enterprises in the major home appliance field.
According to XIAOMI-W's financial report data, the company's major home appliance business revenue achieved double-digit growth in the first quarter of this year. Air conditioner shipments exceeded 1.1 million units, representing year-over-year growth of over 65%, achieving "strong growth in the off-season" during traditionally slow sales periods. Refrigerator shipments surpassed 880,000 units, increasing over 65% year-over-year, while washing machine shipments exceeded 740,000 units with over 100% year-over-year growth. Both washing machine and refrigerator shipments reached historical highs.
Xiaomi's rapid development in the home appliance sector benefits not only from its strong product capabilities and brand influence but also from its comprehensive strengths in supply chain management, channel construction, and customer service.
