Following the city-level meeting on advancing specialized investment task forces for the five key industrial chains, the Economic Development Zone recently convened a mobilization and training session dedicated to investment attraction within the auto parts supply chain. The initiative brings together municipal, park, village (community), and enterprise stakeholders to form a powerful, unified effort for chain-based investment. With strategic mapping, professional expertise, and government-enterprise collaboration at its core, the campaign aims to strengthen the distinctive auto parts industrial cluster and inject robust momentum into the city's push for industrial revitalization.

In industrial investment, the roadmap comes first. The session officially unveiled the 2026 annual auto parts supply chain investment attraction roadmap for Yangzhong, providing all investment teams within the zone with a clear "navigation chart" to shift their approach from broad, unfocused outreach to precise, targeted engagement. Leveraging this roadmap, the zone will assess its industrial foundation, identify weaknesses and shortcomings, and zero in on key tracks including precision structural components, lightweight materials, and new energy vehicle supporting parts. The strategy moves upward to fill critical component supply gaps, strengthens the supporting advantages of leading local enterprises, and extends downward into emerging areas such as complete new energy vehicle assemblies and intelligent auto components. The ultimate objective is to establish an automotive parts industrial ecosystem characterized by "chain-leader leadership, agglomeration of supporting industries, and industry-university-research collaboration."

There are no bystanders in this investment battle—everyone is a participant. "This meeting didn't just bring in all personnel from the government's economic departments; we also invited Youfang Town, Baqiao Town, and Xilaiqiao Town to participate in synchronized coordination, breaking down administrative barriers. Local auto parts enterprise representatives were also invited to attend," explained Wang Yongxin, Deputy Director of the Economic Development Zone Management Committee. The substantial foundation of local industries is the zone's strongest advantage in pursuing chain-based investment. However, this endeavor is by no means a solo performance for government agencies—local enterprises serve as the most powerful allies in the chain-based investment drive. "We will build on our own industrial resources, tap into our industry networks, and act as matchmakers by facilitating investor referrals. Leveraging our leadership position in the industrial chain, we will actively introduce upstream and downstream partners to Yangzhong for inspections and investment, helping to strengthen, extend, and reinforce the chain," said Lu Zhiqiang, Chairman of Yule Technology Co., Ltd.

Furthermore, villages and communities serve as frontline outposts for identifying project leads. Zhang Peijun, Party Secretary of Shuangyue Village, stated that grassroots organizations will fully tap into the personal connections of Yangzhong natives working elsewhere, broadly gather intelligence on industrial projects, and transform local sentiment and hometown ties into tangible outcomes for project implementation.

Chain-based investment requires both fearless initiative and specialized knowledge. Reports from the event revealed that the session included a dedicated professional training segment, featuring a lecture by Jiang Haobin, Executive Director of the School of Automotive and Traffic Engineering at Jiangsu University. The training delved into frontier industry trends, analyzed the development trajectory of new energy vehicle components, and provided a valuable opportunity for all investment cadres to recharge, expand their industry knowledge, and better understand the relevant industries, technologies, and markets.

Following the main session, nearly 20 enterprise leaders participated in a roundtable discussion covering industrial collaboration, project attraction, resource guarantees, and coordinated development. Government departments listened directly to company needs on-site, addressed operational bottlenecks, and further consolidated a unified mindset for collaborative investment between the public and private sectors. Moving forward, the Economic Development Zone will treat this mobilization and training session as a new starting point. It will leverage the industrial chain investment roadmap, strengthen multi-party coordination and tackling mechanisms, uphold the spirit of dedication and perseverance, and implement roadmap-driven, professionally-led, business-referral, and hometown-ties-based investment strategies. With an all-out effort to strengthen, supplement, extend, and broaden the industrial chain, the zone aims to continuously expand the scale of its auto parts industrial cluster, contributing to Yangzhong's accelerated development into a higher-tier "Smart Manufacturing Island City."
