Dongfeng Nissan's New Energy Brand General Manager Wang Qian responded on social media to concerns raised by Li Auto's CEO Li Xiang, stating that the company adheres to industry standards and promotes healthy competition while respecting all players in China's automotive sector, including Li Auto.

Li Xiang later posted on his social media account that even Japanese brands consider it safe to use organized trolls to disparage Li Auto, highlighting the severe consequences of his company's past tolerance toward malicious public relations attacks. He announced that from now on, instead of retaliating, Li Auto will investigate, publicly expose, and submit evidence to regulatory authorities while pursuing legal action against those responsible.

This marks Li Xiang's latest statement on the matter. He previously suggested that "puppet forces are often worse than invaders," which industry observers interpreted as targeting Dongfeng Nissan. Recent exposés by automotive bloggers revealed coordinated smear campaigns using templated posts with identical titles praising Dongfeng Nissan's NX8 while criticizing Li Auto's i6 model.

Li Auto's legal department issued a statement confirming completion of evidence collection and plans to pursue all legal avenues, including reporting to public security authorities, filing complaints with regulators, and initiating lawsuits against organizers and perpetrators of the disinformation campaign.
