Sinovac Biotech's (SVA) 2025 interim report highlights a significant shift in its business focus. The financial results indicate a 29.4% year-over-year increase in the company's overseas sales for the first half of the year, primarily driven by increased exports of influenza and hepatitis A vaccines in international markets. In contrast, demand in the Chinese mainland market has notably slowed due to declining birth rates and competitive vaccine pricing pressures.

Despite the downturn in domestic demand, robust growth in overseas operations has effectively counterbalanced this pressure, driving the company's total sales to approximately $130.3 million, remaining largely stable compared to the same period last year. Management stated in the report that the company will steadfastly execute its globalization strategy and continue to deepen its presence in overseas markets.

In terms of specific breakthroughs, Sinovac Biotech has secured its position as the exclusive supplier for Chile's global influenza vaccine tender for two consecutive years (2025-2026). Furthermore, in November 2025, the company signed a ten-year supply agreement with Brazil's Ministry of Health to provide approximately 60 million doses of varicella and rabies vaccines. The overseas market is progressively becoming a core pillar supporting the company's performance.
