Busy Ming Group Co., Ltd. released its 2026 interim report showing sharp top-line and bottom-line expansion driven by rapid franchise growth and continued focus on value retailing in China’s snack and beverage market.

Revenue rose 60.00% year-on-year to RMB 44.99 billion for the six months ended 30 June 2026. Gross profit almost doubled to RMB 5.19 billion, lifting the gross margin to 11.5% from 9.3%. Profit before tax surged 147.90% to RMB 3.05 billion, while net profit attributable to shareholders climbed 155.40% to RMB 2.24 billion.

On a non-IFRS basis, adjusted net profit reached RMB 2.45 billion, up 136.50%. Selling and marketing expenses grew 54.40% to RMB 1.58 billion, reflecting network expansion, larger staffing and higher logistics costs, while administrative expenses increased 38.90% to RMB 568.20 million.

Busy Ming ended June with 26,405 stores across 31 Chinese provinces, up 20.3% from 21,948 at end-2025; 99.97% operate under its franchise model and roughly 60% are located in county and township markets. The group’s total assets climbed 55.70% to RMB 19.62 billion, with cash and cash equivalents plus restricted cash of RMB 10.63 billion. The company carries no interest-bearing bank borrowings, pushing the gearing ratio down to 27.9%.

Proceeds of HKD 4.09 billion from the January 2026 Hong Kong listing have been 11.3% deployed, mainly to bolster supply chain capability, upgrade the store network, support franchisees, and expand brand promotions. No interim dividend was declared.

Post-period, the board adopted a 2026 H Share Award Scheme, reserving up to 10.89 million H shares (5% of issued capital) for incentive purposes; no grants have yet been made.

Looking ahead, Busy Ming plans to continue systematic store expansion—especially in lower-tier markets—step up product innovation, optimise its direct-sourcing supply chain, deepen digital operations, and enhance brand marketing while maintaining its dual-brand strategy of “Busy for You” and “Super Ming.”
