The co-founders of KE Holdings Inc., Chairman and CEO Yongdong Peng and Co-founder Yigang Shan, announced in an internal company-wide letter that as the company and its subsidiary Lianjia approach their 25th anniversary, they will jointly donate 10 million Class A ordinary shares of KE Holdings Inc. The after-tax proceeds from this donation will be used to establish the "Health and Family Guardian Fund." This fund is intended to serve as a safeguard for approximately 500,000 individuals, including employees of KE Holdings Inc. and Lianjia, as well as other industry service professionals. It is reported that the beneficiary group for this special project exceeds 500,000 people.

Based on the closing share price on February 23, this donation is valued at approximately 400 million yuan. The project is scheduled to launch within the year. This marks the second donation within a year by KE Holdings Inc. Chairman Yongdong Peng, following his donation of 9 million shares last year. The combined value of the two donations made by the two co-founders of KE Holdings Inc. within one year has now reached 840 million yuan.
