Ukraine has secured a disbursement of approximately $690 million from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) after the successful completion of the first review under its 48-month Extended Fund Facility arrangement, according to a press release from the institution.
The IMF stated that Ukraine has maintained macroeconomic and financial stability despite the ongoing war with Russia, a more challenging external environment, and risks that remain exceptionally high.
With this latest disbursement, the total cumulative funds released to Ukraine under this arrangement have now reached approximately $2.2 billion.
