The company has announced that it will present data from the Chinese Phase IIb clinical study of its drug, Esupaglutide α, at the American Diabetes Association (ADA) Scientific Sessions in 2026. This conference is scheduled to take place from June 5 to 8, 2026, in New Orleans, USA.

According to the announcement, the top-line results from the Phase IIb ENLIGHT study of INNOGEN's self-developed Esupaglutide α in Chinese patients with overweight/obesity have successfully met the primary endpoint. The randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, multicenter trial enrolled 200 adult subjects with overweight or obesity but without diabetes. It evaluated the efficacy and safety of Esupaglutide α at doses ranging from 5 mg to 20 mg over an 18-week treatment period.

The results indicated that all dose groups experienced significant weight reduction from baseline, outperforming the placebo group. The weight loss effect showed a positive correlation with the dose, and patients in the Esupaglutide α groups demonstrated a continuous downward trend in body weight throughout the treatment period, with no plateau observed.
