The project to upgrade and enhance the urban underground pipeline network in Jinchuan District is advancing in an orderly fashion.

The construction sites are bustling with activity as work crews across various road sections diligently follow the schedule, carrying out operations methodically. Efforts are fully focused on laying new pipelines and restoring road surfaces. A network of modern underground conduits is being systematically extended, while a significant number of aged and damaged pipes are undergoing comprehensive replacement. This initiative is continuously strengthening the load-bearing capacity of municipal infrastructure, laying a solid "underground foundation" for the city's high-quality development.

This project officially commenced construction on August 27, 2025, with completion targeted for the end of December 2026. The work is progressing simultaneously across six designated sections. It encompasses 15 major and secondary roads, including Shenyang Road, Zhangye Road, and South Beijing Road. The upgrade involves six categories of pipeline networks: heating, potable water supply, raw water, stormwater, sewage, and gas. Supporting infrastructure such as drainage pumping stations, booster pump houses, heat exchange station equipment, and various utility access chambers are also being constructed alongside the road surface restoration. The planned renovations include 9,901 meters of stormwater pipelines, 30,982 meters of sewage pipelines, 23,784 meters of water supply pipelines, 14,415 meters of gas pipelines, and 28,230 meters of heating pipelines. Additionally, two new pumping stations are being built.

To date, the project has achieved 80% of its total investment. Specific progress includes the completion of 8,370 meters of heating pipelines, 7,164 meters of water supply pipelines, 20,996 meters of sewage pipelines, 5,650 meters of gas pipelines, 6,985 meters of raw water pipelines, and 7,890 meters of stormwater pipelines. All pipeline renovation tasks are advancing steadily according to the established timeline.

Upon completion, the project will comprehensively improve the urban underground pipeline infrastructure system. It will optimize the functional layout of the pipeline network in the area connecting to the high-speed rail, achieving full interconnectivity between the industrial cluster zone, supporting service areas, and the surrounding road network. This will not only enhance regional traffic flow efficiency and strengthen logistics and distribution support capabilities but also address key public concerns such as water supply, heating, and gas provision. The improvements will ameliorate residents' travel and daily living experiences, continuously elevating the city's overall carrying capacity and livability.
