On October 30, Liu Qiaochu, Standing Committee Member of the Dachuan District Committee, Head of the United Front Work Department, and Chairman of the District Trade Union Council, along with Vice District Governor Li Changzan, organized a coordination meeting for the Longjun Waitan Love-themed Block project. The meeting brought together leaders from multiple departments, including the District Commerce Bureau, Housing and Urban-Rural Development Bureau, Comprehensive Administrative Law Enforcement Bureau, Traffic Police Brigade No. 2, and Landscape Management Office, as well as representatives from Cuiping Subdistrict Office, Dazhou Yida Industrial Group, and Tongda Community. The aim was to efficiently advance the planning and construction of this distinctive commercial block, injecting new vitality into regional economic development.
Located in the core area of Longjun Waitan in Dachuan District, the project is being developed and operated by Tianyi Guolian (Sichuan) Commercial Operation Management Co., Ltd. Centered on the theme of "love culture," the block will integrate leisure, entertainment, shopping, and experiential activities, with an expected opening date of January 1, 2026. With an investment of 12 million yuan, this initiative represents another significant effort by both private capital and local government to tap into regional consumption potential.
During the coordination meeting, officials discussed key aspects such as site layout, municipal infrastructure, environmental enhancement, traffic management, and public security, clarifying responsibilities and timelines. This demonstrated Dachuan District’s commitment to improving the business environment and ensuring project success.
The project is expected to generate notable social and economic benefits. Plans indicate that Longjun Waitan Love-themed Block will become a prominent cultural landmark in northeastern Sichuan, fostering a unique "sweet economy" model. The operator anticipates attracting 1 to 3 million visitors in its first year, with couples accounting for over 60% of foot traffic. Additionally, the project is projected to create more than 500 direct and indirect jobs, boosting local employment and income growth.
A representative from Tianyi Guolian emphasized the company’s dedication to high-quality construction and operation, aiming to establish the block as a citywide attraction and economic driver. The successful coordination meeting marks a new phase of accelerated progress for the project.
