On the afternoon of September 9, a promotional event for the China-ASEAN Service Trade Cooperation was held at Shougang Park in Beijing, co-hosted by the People's Government of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, the People's Government of Beijing Municipality, and the People's Government of Hainan Province. During the event, Wei Tao, Chairman of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, presented four distinctive hallmarks of Guangxi to Chinese and international guests, expressing hopes that the China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS) could serve as a link and this promotional event as a starting point to deepen cooperation in areas such as service trade policy pilot programs, joint industrial system development, and the expansion of commercial logistics corridors. The goal is to jointly create a new chapter of win-win cooperation across Guangxi, Beijing, and Hainan, and to contribute greater strength to serving the nation's high-level opening-up and building a closer China-ASEAN community with a shared future.

From the tides of the Beibu Gulf to the ship horns of the Pinglu Canal, and from the intellectual sparks of ASEAN language databases to the harvest bounty of the "sugar bowl" and "fruit basket," Guangxi is presenting four hallmarks to the world. The first shows its vital location, the second reflects the transformation of the canal, the third highlights innovation in artificial intelligence, and the fourth demonstrates the substance of its industries.

Guangxi is willing to work with all parties to leverage Beijing's strengths in digital trade innovation, Hainan Free Trade Port's open policy advantages, and Guangxi's position as a frontier hub for ASEAN. Together, they aim to build an integrated cooperation platform for government-enterprise connections, industrial synergy, and project implementation, seizing the opportunities presented by the construction of the China-ASEAN Free Trade Area version 3.0. By actively aligning with FTA 3.0 and RCEP rules, they intend to help more enterprises expand into ASEAN and the broader global service trade market.

Guangxi is also committed to working with all parties to utilize land-sea hubs such as the Pinglu Canal, Beibu Gulf Port, and Yangpu Port, coordinating overseas warehouse resources across Guangxi, Beijing, and Hainan. This includes improving cross-border logistics distribution, cargo consolidation and sorting, and after-sales service systems, while promoting the accelerated flow and efficient allocation of regional resources and factors. These efforts aim to deepen economic and trade exchanges between China, ASEAN, and RCEP member countries, providing strong momentum for the high-quality development of the Belt and Road Initiative and the building of a China-ASEAN community with a shared future.

Furthermore, Guangxi intends to collaborate with all parties on computing power sharing, standards alignment, technology connectivity, and scenario co-construction. Cooperation will be deepened in cross-border data flow, AI short dramas, cross-border gaming, digital intangible cultural heritage, cross-border e-commerce, and offshore digital services. By connecting CIFTIS's global cooperation resources with the China-ASEAN digital economy and trade market, they aim to better embrace the AI era and create a shared digital future.

Guangxi is mobilizing its full efforts to build ten major modern pillar industries in manufacturing, including non-ferrous metals and key metal materials. This brings significant opportunities for the development of service industries such as R&D and design, inspection and certification, maintenance and repair, and supply chain logistics. The region is willing to work with all parties to promote the deep integration of producer services with manufacturing, helping more enterprises "go global together" and "expand along the supply chain." This will accelerate the transformation from "selling products" to "selling technology, standards, and services," jointly building complementary and mutually beneficial cross-regional and cross-border industrial and supply chains.
