Customs data from Quzhou shows that from January to June this year, the total value of lithium battery exports supervised by Quzhou Customs reached 1.26 billion yuan, marking a 173.2% increase year-on-year.

Recently, lithium battery packs produced by Quzhou Jidian Electric Vehicle Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Quzhou Jidian) were inspected and certified by Quzhou Customs before being loaded and shipped overseas. Founded in June 2022, Quzhou Jidian specializes in the research, development, and manufacturing of power batteries and related components. Its products are used by major domestic and international automakers, including Zeekr and Volvo.

Benefiting from a complete upstream and downstream industrial ecosystem for lithium batteries in Quzhou, the company enjoys strong advantages in supply chain proximity. As a result, Quzhou Jidian has been progressively shifting its capacity layout and production focus to the region. Since the start of this year, the company has seen a steady rise in overseas orders, with a significant increase in shipment frequency, driving higher demands for efficient customs clearance and refined, timely inspection services.

To support Quzhou Jidian's expansion into overseas markets, Quzhou Customs has conducted multiple on-site visits to the factory, monitoring production, capacity release, and import-export logistics in real time. It has also regularly collected feedback from the company on customs supervision services to better align with its development needs. Zhao Weijun, head of overseas business at Quzhou Jidian, noted, "Issues such as declaration procedures, hazardous packaging verification, test report issuance, and inspection timelines were once major pain points for our exports. Thanks to Quzhou Customs' continuous support, these challenges have been effectively resolved."

Xu Guoqun, head of the Inspection Section 1 at Quzhou Customs, explained, "To improve on-site inspection efficiency, we have mapped out the company's shipment patterns, optimized customs clearance routes, and established a dedicated 'one-enterprise-one-file' supervision archive. We also pre-review product qualifications and declaration information to enhance overall clearance efficiency."

In addition to improving supervision services, Quzhou Customs has strengthened compliance guidance, focusing on lithium battery export industry standards. It has conducted regular policy briefings, providing detailed explanations of export regulations, product standards, and safety transport rules, guiding the company to operate in a standardized and compliant manner while reinforcing the safety baseline for foreign trade.

Customs' targeted support has effectively activated the production capacity of lithium battery enterprises in the jurisdiction. Quzhou Penghui Energy Technology Co., Ltd. has also entered a peak period of capacity release. A company representative commented on the current production status, saying, "Our automated energy storage production lines are now running 24 hours a day without interruption. We are operating at full capacity, with multiple main production lines running at maximum load."
