At the 2026 Yabuli Forum Summer Annual Meeting, held from September 4 to 6 in Chengdu, Sichuan province, Shi Lei, co-founder and vice president of Shenzhen Yichu Digital Energy Group Co., Ltd., stated that while the industry faces immense pressure, the new energy storage sector remains a key component of the national energy strategy and continues to attract strong capital interest, showing a steady upward development trend.

Shi Lei first addressed the critical safety challenges within the energy storage industry. He noted that the frequent battery fire and loss-of-control incidents both domestically and internationally have presented severe tests for the sector. To tackle this issue, Yichu Digital Energy has introduced the concept of "R&D without batteries," aiming to fundamentally reduce safety risks to both personnel and power stations.

Meanwhile, the company is actively integrating an "AI + O&M" model, feeding historical fault data from power stations into systems for long-term computation to accurately predict fault thresholds and enable early intervention. Currently, this AI predictive technology has already achieved positive results in areas such as battery thermal management, essentially ensuring the safe operation of power stations.
