On January 13, informed sources indicated that Diageo PLC is evaluating disposal options for its Chinese assets and may divest its stake in companies including Sichuan Swellfun Co.,Ltd. as part of an effort to streamline its asset portfolio.

The sources further noted that the company's considerations are currently at a preliminary stage, with no final decision made, and there is no guarantee that Diageo will decide to proceed with any transaction. Representatives for Diageo, Goldman Sachs, and UBS all declined to comment. A representative for Sichuan Swellfun stated that the company has not received any notification regarding a share transfer.

Sina Finance's "Alcohol Industry Insider" reached out to Sichuan Swellfun for comment on the above situation but had not received a response by the time of publication.
