Central SOEs Launch Joint Innovation Alliance for Robotics Sector

The 2026 World Robot Conference opened in Beijing on August 19, featuring the debut of a unified exhibition area for central state-owned enterprises. A total of 48 central enterprises are participating in this section, showcasing 263 carefully selected exhibits under the theme "Central SOE Strength, Creating the Future Together."

The exhibition area is organized into four innovative sections: "Full Commitment," "Full-Chain Layout," "Panoramic Applications," and "Comprehensive Collaboration," providing a systematic overview of central enterprises' achievements in core technology research, full-industry-chain advantages, and real-world application results in robotics and embodied intelligence.

Participating central SOEs are demonstrating their complete industrial competitiveness across the entire value chain, covering everything from basic materials and core components to robot bodies, intelligent algorithms, data infrastructure, and commercial deployment. They have achieved breakthroughs in multiple hardware and intelligent core technologies, establishing a seamless pathway from research and development to large-scale application.

Using a "twelve hours of the day" timeline, the exhibition immersively showcases how central enterprise robots are widely deployed in high-risk and complex scenarios, including space and deep-sea exploration, energy and power supply assurance, intelligent manufacturing, mining and metallurgy, and livelihood services. These applications are deeply embedded in critical sectors of the national economy, enabling routine and large-scale implementation across numerous industries.

Leveraging the conference's premium platform, central enterprises are also conducting new product launches, supply-demand matching sessions, contract signings, and industry seminars. These activities are building a high-quality ecosystem for technical exchange, results transformation, and mutual industry benefit, continuously driving the coordinated and high-quality development of the robotics sector.

A notable highlight of this year's conference is the establishment of the Central SOE Robotics Innovation Alliance. Under the guidance of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission, and led by China North Industries Group Corporation Limited, the alliance brings together more than one hundred entities, including central enterprises, universities, research institutes, private companies, and industry associations, to accelerate the construction of an integrated innovation system for industry, academia, research, and application.

The conference also unveiled the top ten innovative achievements and top ten high-value application scenarios in robotics from central enterprises, marking another major highlight of the event.

Looking ahead, central enterprises will continue to align with national strategic priorities, seize the significant opportunities presented by artificial intelligence and the robotics industry, and deepen the integration of technological and industrial innovation. They aim to play a leading role in supporting industrial upgrading and advancing the nation's goals of becoming a manufacturing powerhouse, a cyber power, and a digital China.

Furthermore, central enterprises will strengthen industry-wide collaboration through the innovation alliance, conducting joint research on key bottlenecks, co-developing core technologies, expanding application scenarios together, and sharing industrial achievements. This collaborative effort is intended to contribute central SOE strength to the high-quality development of the robotics industry both in China and globally.
