Nine of Ten Major Public Competitions Launched, Select Entries Gain Early Traction

The launch of ten major public competitions serves as a crucial pillar in fully activating Guangdong's system for lifelong learning for all. Coinciding with the one-month anniversary of the Guangdong Lifelong Learning for All platform's launch, these ten competitions were announced to the public on March 26th, swiftly garnering significant attention and active participation from all sectors of society.

It has been reported that nine of the ten major public competitions have now commenced, achieving notable progress in their initial phases. Among them, the eight categories of the National Defense Literacy Competition have been rolled out sequentially. The Flag Guard Competition attracted over 7,000 teachers and students from 178 schools across the province to compete on the same stage. The preliminary rounds of the Youth National Defense Literacy Competition drew more than 20,000 primary and secondary school students to register online.

Utilizing the platform of the Shenzhen Cultural Industries Fair, the Provincial Radio and Television Administration officially launched the Public AI Creation Competition. Concurrently, a provincial symposium on the high-quality development of AI creation was held. The competition's promotional video, titled "What is Love (AI)?", featured the renowned performing artist Niu Ben, achieving a total topic dissemination volume of 75.242 million across all platforms. The competition has also collected 925 original AI works, including one piece with over 700,000 likes, eight pieces with over 100,000 likes, and nine pieces with tens of thousands of likes.

The Provincial Department of Human Resources and Social Security held an offline launch event for its Vocational Skills Competition on April 21st. It plans to organize 84 provincial-level competitions throughout the year, featuring 144 competition categories, covering 16 prefecture-level cities across the province.

On April 30th, the Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism initiated the Cantonese Classic Songs Competition. It established two tracks: "Classic Rendition" and "Original Works," aiming both to pay homage to classic heritage and to encourage original creativity.

The Public Classic Reading Competition, with its three tracks for youth, adults, and families/teams, has received nearly 2,000 submissions.

Leveraging the Shenzhen Cultural Industries Fair, the New-Quality Imaging Competition conducted rotational promotions to increase its exposure, resulting in 2,851 submissions comprising 4,718 individual works.

Currently, the ten major public competitions are progressing smoothly. Adhering to the principle of "serving the people, benefiting the people, being convenient for the people, and relying on the people," Guangdong is focused on "cultivating talent, producing works, generating stories, and building momentum," striving to establish these ten competitions as a super IP within Guangdong's lifelong learning ecosystem for all.
