Ganfeng Lithium (01772) surged over 7% at market open following its earnings release. As of press time, the stock was up 7.63% at HK$50.8, with a turnover of HK$41.39 million.
On October 29, the company announced its financial results for the first three quarters of 2025. Revenue reached RMB14.63 billion, up 5.02% year-on-year, while net profit attributable to shareholders stood at RMB25.52 million, reversing from a loss of RMB640 million in the same period last year. Basic earnings per share were RMB0.01.
The company attributed the Q3 revenue decline to lower sales volume and average selling prices of lithium products compared to the previous year. However, the net profit growth was driven by reduced timing mismatches in pricing mechanisms between its subsidiary Talison Lithium Pty Ltd's spodumene concentrate and Ganfeng's lithium chemical products, despite lower lithium product prices amid market volatility.
