Key Focus Areas for Meta's Q2 2026 Earnings Report

Meta is scheduled to release its quarterly earnings after the US market closes on Wednesday. Traders on the prediction platform Kalshi anticipate that the company's earnings call will prominently feature its Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses. According to Kalshi bettors, the likelihood of Meta discussing topics such as its in-house chip development or the Hyperion data center in Louisiana is relatively low.

On February 18, 2026, in Los Angeles, California, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg appeared at the Los Angeles Superior Court. A 20-year-old California woman is suing both Meta and YouTube, alleging that their platform designs are intentionally addictive and cause harm to teenagers.

Meta is set to release its quarterly earnings after the US market close on Wednesday. Investors on the prediction platform Kalshi widely believe that the Instagram parent company will use its earnings call to heavily promote its Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses, discuss its cloud business, and deliberately avoid topics related to social media regulation policy.

Kalshi operates a market for earnings call keywords, allowing traders to bet on whether specific terms will be mentioned by management during the call. For this Meta earnings report, traders are assigning a 90% probability that management will mention the word "cloud." Bloomberg reported earlier this month that Meta is developing its own cloud infrastructure business to sell computing power to external clients.

Traders estimate a 74% chance that management will mention the partner brand "Ray-Ban." Last month, Meta partnered with EssilorLuxottica, Ray-Ban's parent company, to launch a new, more affordable pair of smart glasses. Traders see a 61% probability that Meta will use the term "silicon" to discuss its internally developed chips during the conference call. However, the chance of Meta mentioning the large-scale Hyperion data center project in rural Louisiana is only 27%.

Beyond these topics, it is highly likely that Meta will not discuss social media regulation policies. The UK has recently enacted new rules aimed at banning minors from using social media, but traders calculate that the probability of Meta mentioning "age verification" on its earnings call is just 15%. The likelihood of management mentioning "prediction markets" or "Kalshi" is only 20%. In June, news surfaced that Zuckerberg had asked his team to develop an in-house prediction trading platform. That same month, National Public Radio (NPR) reported that Meta had been in talks to acquire Kalshi.
