Week 36 New EV Sales: AITO Plunges 31%, Xiaomi Halved, Leapmotor XPeng and Li Auto Drop Over 20%

The sales figures for new energy vehicle manufacturers in week 36 (September 1-7) have been released, showing a comprehensive collapse across the board with all ten brands on the rankings experiencing declining sales.

The leading brand maintained its top position with 10,800 units sold, but this represents a 22.3% decline from the previous week's 13,900 units. While still leading the pack, the brand faces considerable pressure.

AITO recorded sales of 7,400 units, marking a steep 31.5% decline week-over-week, though it managed to reclaim second place in the rankings. XPeng achieved third place with weekly sales of 6,700 units, down 20.2%, representing a relatively moderate decline among the leading manufacturers.

Xiaomi slipped from second place last week to fourth position, with sales of 6,200 units representing a dramatic 47.9% plunge - the largest decline among all brands on the list. The company failed to sustain its strong sales momentum from the previous week.

Li Auto ranked fifth with 6,100 units sold, declining 27.4% as performance showed signs of retreat. Zeekr climbed from ninth place last week to sixth position, recording sales of 3,300 units with only a 2.9% decline - the smallest drop among all brands, maintaining relative stability.

Deepal secured seventh place with 3,200 units sold, down 27.3%, showing significant sales deterioration. Ledao ranked eighth with 2,700 units, declining 27.0%, also facing downward sales pressure. Fangchengbao took ninth place with 2,600 units sold, down 21.2%, showing some degree of market contraction.

Lantu rounded out the top ten with 2,400 units sold, experiencing a 36.8% decline - one of the steeper drops on the rankings.

Overall, all ten new energy vehicle brands encountered collective week-over-week declines in week 36. Only Zeekr managed a relatively small decrease, while all other brands experienced varying degrees of significant drops, suggesting the industry may face certain market challenges and pressures in the short term.
