The Jiangxi provincial government has received outstanding news as the State Council, following its review, officially released the 2025 assessment results for the strictest water resource management system. Jiangxi has once again been awarded an "Excellent" grade, marking its eighth consecutive top rating.

This achievement signifies the conclusion of the "strictest water resource management system" evaluation cycle for Jiangxi. Starting from the 15th Five-Year Plan period, this assessment will be replaced by a new evaluation system focused on implementing a rigid water resource constraint system.

As of 2025, Jiangxi's water usage per 10,000 yuan of GDP and per 10,000 yuan of industrial added value have decreased by 24.9% and 56.6% respectively, compared to 2020 levels. The effective utilization coefficient for farmland irrigation water has risen to 0.552, and the water quality compliance rate for major rivers and lakes has reached 94.25%. These results provide solid water resource security for the high-quality economic and social development of Jiangxi.
