Valuetronics Holdings Limited's stock surged 3.96% during pre-market trading on Thursday. The significant upward movement followed the company's announcement of its full-year financial results and a series of shareholder-friendly initiatives.
The electronics manufacturing services provider revealed a revised dividend policy, targeting an annual ordinary dividend payout of 50% to 70% of net profit attributable to shareholders. This supersedes the previous framework established in 2014. Furthermore, the board intends to recommend a special final dividend of 16 Hong Kong cents per share for the fiscal year ended March 2026.
In addition to the dividend enhancements, Valuetronics announced plans to return approximately HK$300 million to shareholders over the next two fiscal years through a combination of special dividends and share buybacks. For the immediate term, the company intends to allocate no less than HK$80 million for share repurchases, subject to the renewal of its share buyback mandate. These announcements, highlighting a strong commitment to capital returns, are viewed positively by the market and are the primary drivers behind the stock's pre-market rally.
