Xiaomi's automotive division announced via Weibo on February 5th that it has reduced the required safety mileage for its driver assistance system from 1,000 kilometers to 300 kilometers. The company explained that this adjustment is intended to allow users to gradually familiarize themselves with the assisted driving features while cultivating adequate safety awareness. Despite the lowered threshold, Xiaomi reminded drivers that assisted driving is not equivalent to autonomous driving and emphasized the importance of remaining attentive to road conditions and maintaining readiness to take control of the vehicle at all times.
