According to the latest market data from the China Passenger Car Association, the retail sales volume for the new ES8 from NIO Inc. (NYSE: NIO) reached 11,472 units in May 2026.

This marks the sixth consecutive month the model has secured the top sales position in both the large SUV segment and the market for vehicles priced above 400,000 yuan.

Since November 2025, the new ES8 has achieved monthly retail sales exceeding 10,000 units for seven straight months.

In May, it stood as the only model in the large SUV and premium 400,000-yuan-plus categories to surpass this sales threshold.

The phenomenal market performance of the new ES8 further cements its dominant position in the high-end pure-electric SUV market.

Since deliveries commenced on September 21, 2025, the new ES8 reached the milestone of 110,000 cumulative deliveries in just 245 days.

This achievement continues to set new sales and delivery records for high-end passenger car models priced above 400,000 yuan in the Chinese market.

The robust sales momentum of the new ES8 signals that the golden era for large, three-row pure-electric SUVs has arrived.
