The National Financial Regulatory Administration recently convened a symposium focused on key proposals and recommendations for the 2026 National People's Congress and Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference sessions.

Attending the meeting was Comrade Cong Lin, a member of the Party Committee and Deputy Director of the Administration, who engaged in direct discussions with deputies and committee members.

The discussions centered on carefully listening to their suggestions for promoting the high-quality development of inclusive finance, with the aim of further improving China's inclusive financial system and enhancing financial service levels for micro and small enterprises, agriculture, rural areas, farmers, and private enterprises.

Officials from relevant departments of the National People's Congress Deputies Affairs Committee and the CPPCC National Committee Proposal Committee attended to provide guidance.

Representatives from collaborating units responsible for handling proposals, including the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, the People's Bank of China, the China Securities Regulatory Commission, and the Supreme People's Court, also participated in the meeting.

During the symposium, deputies and committee members, drawing on their work and research, conducted in-depth analyses of the current challenges facing the development of inclusive finance and put forward targeted suggestions.

Their recommendations included comprehensively strengthening financial supervision, improving the organizational system for inclusive finance, and enriching the supply of inclusive financial products.

They also proposed establishing a cross-departmental coordination mechanism to promote the effective implementation of inclusive finance policies.

Further suggestions involved strengthening top-level design and systematic planning for inclusive finance, innovating development models, and fostering a positive ecosystem for inclusive finance.

Enhancing the quality and efficiency of financial services for private enterprises, ensuring their equal access to financing, and guiding financial institutions to optimize credit evaluation methods were also highlighted.

Representatives from the units responsible for handling the proposals reported on their work achievements in advancing high-quality inclusive finance development and provided updates on the progress of related tasks within their respective mandates.

Moving forward, the National Financial Regulatory Administration will conduct a comprehensive review of the suggestions from deputies and committee members.

It will collaborate with relevant departments to carefully study and incorporate these insights, aiming to effectively leverage the proposals to aid in promoting the high-quality development of inclusive finance.

Concurrently, efforts will be made to further refine policy measures, strengthen inter-departmental coordination, consolidate collaborative efforts, and continuously improve the quality and efficiency of financial services.

The ultimate goal is to better meet the diverse financing needs of micro and small businesses, the agricultural sector, rural areas, farmers, and private enterprises.
