A recent report from International Data Corporation (IDC) reveals that China's AI-enhanced Human Capital Management (HCM) market reached 241 million yuan in 2025, marking a 505.7% year-over-year increase. As corporate digitalization enters a deepening phase, AI is transforming HCM systems from traditional management tools into intelligent talent management platforms.

IDC emphasizes that the core value of AI-enabled HCM lies not in simply adding AI features, but in integrating generative, recommendation, predictive, and agent capabilities into enterprise talent management processes. This creates business value in areas such as recruitment, performance management, learning and development, employee services, and workforce planning. Enterprise demand for HCM systems is shifting from improving process efficiency to optimizing talent decisions, enhancing organizational agility, and improving employee experience.

Market Landscape: Top Players Compete on Intelligence, Platform, and Delivery Capabilities

According to IDC data, the competitive landscape of China's AI-enhanced HCM market in 2025 is taking shape. Beisen led with a 12.8% revenue share, followed by Yonyou Network at 10.3%, Kingdee at 8.2%, and Inspur Digital Enterprise at 5.3%.

Beisen: Driving HCM's Evolution Toward an AI HR Expert Platform: IDC attributes Beisen's market leadership not only to its AI capabilities but also to its years of accumulated expertise in talent science, assessment technology, competency modeling, and industry practice. Through products like AI interviewers, AI coaches, and AI leadership assessments, Beisen is advancing HCM from traditional software toward an AI application platform tailored for talent management.

Yonyou Network: Supporting Large Organization Intelligence Upgrades with Enterprise-Level Platform Capabilities: Leveraging its BIP Human Resources Cloud, YonGPT, and related intelligent agents, Yonyou Network integrates AI into group governance, business-finance-personnel integration, and cross-system coordination. IDC believes Yonyou Network represents the platform-based HCM path in the large enterprise market, with strengths in complex organizational management, enterprise data foundations, and large-scale delivery capabilities.

Kingdee: Deepening the Integration of HCM Intelligence with Enterprise Management: Kingdee is advancing intelligent upgrades in areas such as AI HR, smart recruitment, and role matching, while strengthening the connection between HCM and enterprise management systems through its cloud platform. IDC sees Kingdee's advantages in its enterprise cloud foundation, ecosystem capabilities, and its ability to extend AI capabilities to organizational management and talent development.

Inspur Digital Enterprise: As enterprise digital transformation deepens, improving organizational efficiency, precise talent allocation, and employee experience are becoming key priorities. Technologies like generative AI, machine learning, and intelligent agents are driving HCM from a traditional process management tool to an intelligent organizational management platform. Enterprise demand for AI in HCM has shifted from single-function efficiency gains to intelligent empowerment across core scenarios like recruitment, talent development, employee services, performance management, and organizational decision-making.

AI-Enhanced HCM Moves to the 'Platform + Agent' Stage

IDC asserts that China's AI-enhanced HCM market is evolving from modular intelligence to a 'platform + agent' architecture. As generative AI and agent technology mature, HCM systems will extend beyond functions like Q&A and content generation into core processes such as recruitment, performance, talent development, and employee services, upgrading from 'smart assistants' to 'process-oriented agents.'

Future competition among vendors will focus less on feature coverage and more on scenario understanding, data foundations, platform capabilities, and business implementation. As enterprise AI applications enter a scale-up phase, customer demand for AI-enhanced HCM will shift from technology experimentation to business value assessment, placing greater emphasis on ROI, security compliance, data governance, and system integration capabilities.

IDC believes that vendors with industry experience, platform capabilities, and continuous delivery ability will be better positioned to build long-term competitive advantages. These vendors will drive HCM's evolution from a traditional management tool into a critical infrastructure supporting intelligent organizational operations.

Wenting Xu, Senior Research Manager for Enterprise Application Software at IDC China, notes that the AI-enhanced HCM market in China is moving from 'AI feature overlay' into a critical phase of 'AI reshaping organizational management.' Currently, enterprise demand for HCM intelligence is no longer limited to improving single-process efficiency. Instead, enterprises expect AI to deeply engage in core scenarios such as recruitment, talent development, employee services, performance management, and organizational decision-making. This will help businesses achieve talent data insights, business process optimization, and organizational capability enhancement.

Looking ahead, as generative AI and agent technology further mature, competition among HCM vendors will increasingly focus on the depth of scenario understanding, data and platform foundation capabilities, agent orchestration abilities, and large-scale delivery capabilities. Vendors that can integrate AI capabilities with actual enterprise management processes and deliver measurable business value will be better positioned to establish long-term advantages in the evolving market.
