On 16 February 2026, Sunwah Kingsway Capital Holdings Limited (stock code: 00188) announced a further disposal of its holdings in WeRide ADSs. From 25 November 2025 to 16 February 2026, a wholly owned subsidiary disposed of a total of 146,000 WeRide ADSs through on-market transactions on the Nasdaq Stock Market. The average daily price ranged from US$7.65 to US$9.95, generating approximately US$1.27 million in aggregate consideration. According to the announcement, the disposal realized a gain of about US$0.80 million compared with the original aggregate purchase price.

The further disposal follows an earlier disposal of 131,000 WeRide ADSs between 22 May 2025 and 7 November 2025, which brought in about US$1.39 million. Combining both transactions meets the criteria for aggregation under Rule 14.22 of the Listing Rules, resulting in a discloseable transaction for Sunwah Kingsway. The company stated that this move helps realize a portion of its investment and provides cash resources for general working capital and potential future opportunities.

According to public information, WeRide Inc. focuses on commercializing autonomous driving technology. For 2023, WeRide reported revenue of RMB401.84 million and gross profit of RMB183.48 million, with a net loss of RMB1.95 billion. Total assets at the end of 2023 amounted to RMB5.61 billion, while total deficit stood at RMB3.05 billion. In 2024, WeRide reported revenue of RMB361.13 million and gross profit of RMB110.72 million, with a net loss of RMB2.52 billion. Its total assets reached RMB7.69 billion, and total equity was RMB7.07 billion. The announcement indicates that the disposal was carried out at prevailing market prices, and the buyers’ identities remain unknown to Sunwah Kingsway.
