SpaceX CEO Elon Musk recently reaffirmed his confidence in the artificial intelligence efforts of the commercial space giant, while warning that companies failing to adopt the technology could face obsolescence.

On Monday local time, the official account of prediction market platform Kalshi shared Musk's earlier remarks about SpaceX leading the AI race. The post stated, "Elon Musk says SpaceX will 'far surpass' all other companies in the field of artificial intelligence."

In response to Kalshi's post, Musk corrected the claim, stating that SpaceX would exceed "the combined total of all other companies."

Another user shared an older video of Musk where the billionaire predicted that companies not adopting AI would be left behind.

He shared that computers processing individual spreadsheets "would outperform" an entire building of human employees. "Fully AI-powered companies will destroy non-AI companies," Musk said in the video.

When responding to the user, Musk reiterated his position, stating, "Not that I necessarily want this to happen, just that it will happen."

Interestingly, the billionaire had earlier stated that Tesla does not plan to lay off any human employees. He outlined that his company is considering expanding its workforce because AI tools will significantly enhance the productivity of Tesla's human staff.

He also reiterated his comments about "universal high income," suggesting that AI will enable companies to "issue currency" to people, as the technology could lead to a "deflationary" economy.
