Agilyx ASA has recently announced that its majority-owned subsidiary, GreenDot, has entered into a strategic collaboration with osapiens to jointly launch an artificial intelligence-driven software solution for Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) packaging compliance.

This partnership merges GreenDot's extensive expertise in European EPR compliance, packaging licensing, and producer responsibility schemes with the AI-powered platform of osapiens HUB. The result is the introduction of the first integrated digital solution designed to make EPR and PPWR reporting across all EU markets seamless, scalable, and cost-effective.

As country-specific reporting requirements under the EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation continue to grow, companies are facing an increasingly complex compliance burden. This joint solution directly addresses this challenge by: leveraging AI-assisted workflows and supplier collaboration tools to automatically collect, validate, and maintain packaging data; connecting directly to national registry systems and EPR schemes via pre-built interfaces, replacing slow manual processes; automatically calculating obligations for each European country; and identifying the most optimal tariff structures between European markets.

Laurent Auguste, CEO of GreenDot, stated: "Companies are increasingly concerned about the complexity and cost of managing EPR compliance under the PPWR. Together with osapiens, we are bringing to market the smart digital solution the industry has been calling for—a simple one-stop shop for European EPR reporting that enables compliance management in a more cost-effective, efficient, and scalable way."

Stefan Wawrzinek, Co-Founder and Chairman of osapiens, added: "EPR compliance under the PPWR is becoming one of the most complex cross-border challenges for European producers and brand owners. By partnering with GreenDot, we combine the regulatory depth and market coverage needed for this challenge with an AI-driven platform infrastructure to solve it at scale."

Under the terms of the agreement, the parties have entered into a revenue-sharing arrangement, and the software platform will be jointly marketed. GreenDot's involvement in the AI-driven platform presents significant potential for high-margin growth, while also advancing its existing business in European plastics recycling. This collaboration reflects the shared commitment of both companies to developing transformative digital solutions that support businesses in transitioning towards a circular economy in Europe.
