CHALICE MINING LTD's stock soared 5.21% during intraday trading on Thursday, following the release of an investor presentation detailing the development plans for its Gonneville palladium-nickel-copper project.

The company outlined that the Western Australia-based project is targeting a final investment decision in the first half of 2028. Key pre-feasibility study metrics highlighted a strong financial outlook, including a pre-tax NPV8 of A$1.4 billion, an internal rate of return (IRR) of 23%, and a payback period of 2.7 years, with pre-production capital expenditure estimated at A$820 million.

The project boasts a 23-year open-pit mine life supported by a 7.1 million oz 3E reserve. The production profile is forecast at 220,000 oz per year of 3E (platinum group metals), 7,000 tonnes per annum of nickel, 8,000 tpa of copper, and 700 tpa of cobalt. Cost guidance positions Chalice as potentially the lowest-cost PGM producer in the Western world, with all-in sustaining costs estimated at US$370 per oz 3E.
