A ceremony was held in Beijing to launch JD's 2026 "Spring Festival Warmth Delivery" care project for workers in new forms of employment (Beijing stop) and to honor retiring couriers. Ten departments participated in the event, including the All-China Federation of Trade Unions, the All-China Women's Federation, the China Express Association, the Beijing Municipal Committee Social Work Department, the Municipal Internet Enterprise Working Committee, the Municipal Federation of Trade Unions, the Municipal Women's Federation, the Municipal Postal Administration, and the Economic Development Area Management Committee. Certificates were presented to couriers approaching retirement.

Ju Shengjing, a 60-year-old JD Express veteran, formally retired after 15 years and 6 months of frontline service. Originally from Handan, Hebei province, Ju sold fruit from a stall before age 45. He joined JD Logistics' Malian Dao Station in 2010, when JD operated only 8 stations in Beijing. He single-handedly managed package deliveries for dozens of communities, carrying a POS machine through the capital's streets.

As JD Logistics expanded its Beijing operations, Ju served as deputy station manager for over a year. Preferring to stay connected with his frontline colleagues, he returned to delivery duties and achieved significant personal and professional growth. Over 15 years, Ju's monthly income rose steadily from approximately 2,300 yuan initially to a peak exceeding 20,000 yuan.

JD provided full social security and housing fund contributions from his first day of employment. Several years ago, Ju used his housing fund to purchase a home in Baoding, Hebei, ending his transient lifestyle. Thanks to uninterrupted social security payments throughout his 15-year, 6-month tenure, he will receive his first pension in Beijing after the Spring Festival.

Prior to the ceremony, representatives from the participating departments visited multiple JD Express stations to deliver holiday supplies and Spring Festival greetings to couriers on duty.
