JS GLOBAL LIFE (01691) jumped more than 6% in early trading on Thursday, with shares climbing 7.42% to HK$1.52 at the time of writing, on turnover of HK$13.69 million.

The company recently posted its interim results for the first half of 2026, reporting revenue of approximately US$741 million, down 4.3% year-on-year. Gross profit came in at roughly US$229 million, a decline of 7.7%, while adjusted net profit rose 9.6% to US$14.8 million. Profit attributable to owners of the parent stood at US$9.419 million, swinging to profitability from a loss in the prior-year period.

Analysts at Huatai Securities believe the company is in a strategic investment phase of "trading expenses for market share," with emerging markets offering substantial room for growth. The brokerage holds a positive long-term view that SharkNinja's Asia-Pacific unit will continue to strengthen profitability through economies of scale, while the Joyoung segment is expected to gradually unlock profit elasticity as end-market demand recovers.

Huatai highlighted the standout performance of the Ninja brand, noting that segment gross margin improved year-on-year. In the first half of 2026, SharkNinja Asia-Pacific's third-party customer sales reached US$244 million, up 6.2% year-on-year. By region, revenue from Australia/New Zealand and other markets grew 33.5% and 165.5% year-on-year, respectively.

The company has been actively launching premium new products to improve its product mix while advancing cost optimization initiatives. Despite increased promotional activities, intensifying price competition, and rising cost pressures, JS GLOBAL LIFE managed to lift gross margins. The SharkNinja Asia-Pacific division posted a gross margin of 43.7% in the first half, up 1.5 percentage points year-on-year. The brokerage remains optimistic about the company's ability to sustain profitability improvements over the medium to long term, driven by economies of scale and a localized supply chain.
