On the afternoon of September 1st, the 4th Aranya Xiami Music Festival was held from August 27-31 at Aranya. Li Jie, co-founder of the Aranya Xiami Music Festival and President of DAMAI ENT, stated: "This year's music festival is no longer just about music - it now encompasses theater, exhibitions, and trendy art installations. It reflects a way of life and serves as a vehicle for connecting with young people's emotions. The Aranya Xiami Music Festival has always been a collaborative creation by a group of idealistic music fans. We hope to develop it into a utopian avant-garde model in the future, bringing everyone a more vibrant, aesthetic, and dynamic real-world entertainment experience."
Ma Yin, co-founder of the Aranya Xiami Music Festival and founder of Aranya, also believes that live music should be integrated into daily life. He said: "At Aranya, you can step into the music festival venue within a minute of leaving your residence. This is an experience that other domestic music festivals cannot replicate - it truly integrates music into people's daily lives. Today, music, art, culture, and the town have achieved harmonious coexistence, creating a harmonious and beautiful unique atmosphere. This is precisely the ideal state of 'musicalized living' that we pursue."
This year's Aranya Xiami Music Festival, themed "Life is an Adventure," underwent significant upgrades in format. The performance period expanded from the previous 3 days to 5 days. Leveraging Aranya's unique seaside community setting, the festival deeply integrated performances, art, and vacation lifestyle, providing music fans with an immersive music vacation experience. The number of stages increased from 2 to 3, with the newly added outing stage further expanding musical scenarios and providing more suitable performance spaces for different styles such as folk and improvisation.
In terms of lineup, over 40 musical acts including Karen Mok, Liang Bo, Omnipotent Youth Society, and LANY performed in rotation. Among them, six international acts - LANY, Battles, Rialto, The Raveonettes, VTOROI KA, and TOKYO GROOVE JYOSHI - made their mainland music festival debuts.
Environmental protection remains a core concern of the Aranya Xiami Music Festival. This year, the festival further upgraded its environmental practices through deep cooperation with Ant Forest, attracting over 1.24 million users to participate in carbon neutrality efforts, ultimately achieving full-chain carbon neutrality from production to implementation, fulfilling the vision of creating "China's Zero-Carbon Music Festival." The festival site featured 200 waste sorting stations, collected over 100,000 plastic bottles over 5 days, and attracted approximately 150,000 participants in environmental protection activities.
