Twilio's stock surged 19.88% in overnight trading, driven by the company's impressive first-quarter 2026 financial results that significantly exceeded analyst expectations.

The customer engagement platform reported adjusted earnings per share of $1.50, beating the consensus estimate of $1.27, while revenue climbed 20% year-over-year to $1.41 billion, surpassing the $1.34 billion forecast. CEO Khozema Shipchandler called Q1 a "milestone quarter," citing the highest revenue and gross profit growth rates in more than three years.

Furthermore, Twilio raised its full-year revenue growth outlook to 14%-15% from the previous range of 11.5%-12.5% and provided second-quarter revenue guidance of $1.42 billion to $1.43 billion, which also exceeds analyst estimates. The company's dollar-based net expansion rate increased to 114%, indicating stronger customer monetization, while management highlighted sustained demand for its AI-driven cloud communications tools.
