CansinoBIO (06185) has announced that it has received an Acceptance Notice from China's National Medical Products Administration (NMPA).

The NMPA has accepted the company's supplemental application to expand the eligible age range for its ACYW135 Group Meningococcal Polysaccharide Conjugate Vaccine (CRM197 carrier), known as MenQuad® (MCV4).

The application seeks to extend the age range from children aged 3 months to 6 years (83 months) to include individuals aged 3 months to 17 years.

MenQuad® is the first quadrivalent meningococcal conjugate vaccine in China. It received approval for marketing in December 2021, and its age range was previously expanded to children aged 3 months to 6 years (83 months) in February 2026.

The vaccine's launch has helped narrow the gap between China and developed nations in this field, addressing the previous lack of a high-end vaccine option.
