Do you recall the holiday that "didn't come to pass"? When the French team's journey ended at the semi-finals of the 2024 FIFA World Cup on the 15th, we were flooded with messages from our community: "We're ready!", "We want a holiday!", "We want to watch the final!"

NetEase secured partnerships with the Argentine national team, led by Lionel Messi, and the French national team, captained by Kylian Mbappé. Our support is for the teams, and for the passion, dreams, and shared late nights in front of the screen that football brings to us all.

Following a fiercely competitive tournament, the Argentine national team has once again fought its way to the final! We know everyone is feeling a mix of excitement, anticipation, and nervousness.

In light of this, we are thrilled to announce a company-wide decision: all NetEase employees will be granted a half-day holiday on the morning of Monday, July 20th. This is to allow everyone to fully immerse themselves in the final night's festivities and watch the match through to the final whistle without any distractions. No need to "wait for good luck" this time—the holiday is confirmed. Go all out!

Go for the teams, go for the passion, and go for all of you who cheered us on in the comments even when our previous hopes for a holiday fell short. In football, there are wins and losses, but passion knows no such score.
