The State Council recently issued the "15th Five-Year Plan for Intellectual Property Protection and Utilization," outlining the targets, key tasks, and special projects for intellectual property work during the 2025-2030 period.

By 2030, the plan aims to further strengthen China's overall intellectual property capabilities and international competitiveness. It envisions more robust protection, greater market value demonstration, enhanced public services, a more efficient comprehensive management system, deeper international cooperation, and decisive progress in building a nation strong on intellectual property.

The plan sets four primary tasks. These include continuously optimizing the intellectual property protection environment to support comprehensive innovation, greatly improving the efficiency of intellectual property utilization to drive high-quality economic development, constantly perfecting the comprehensive intellectual property management system for efficient governance, and actively establishing a new pattern of international intellectual property cooperation to serve a high level of openness to the outside world.
