WestJet's Chief Executive, Alexis von Hoensbroech, stated on Monday that the airline expects to introduce its first Boeing 737 MAX 10 aircraft into service in the first quarter of 2027, pending approvals from U.S. and Canadian aviation regulators.

He shared this outlook during an interview at an aviation summit in Brazil, noting, "We are hearing a lot of positive signals from both Boeing and the FAA regarding the progress of the certification work." The Calgary-based carrier is among the first airlines slated to receive the larger 737 MAX 10 model from Boeing.
