LI Auto-W (02015) rose nearly 3% in morning trading, with the stock up 2.52% to HK$67.25 by the time of writing, recording a turnover of HK$222 million. According to a report by Yijian Auto, the company plans to release a dual-wheel robot within the year, primarily designed for use in factory manufacturing settings. LI Auto's humanoid robot team has been in existence since April 2025 and has been conducting confidential research and development for nearly a year. Internally referred to as Nexus, the team is led by He Junpei, former hardware partner of robotics startup Jiuguang Intelligence, and consists of fewer than 30 members. The project is classified as top-secret within the company. The report also indicated that LI Auto has two products under development within its humanoid robotics division: a dual-wheel robot and a bipedal robot. The dual-wheel robot is currently ready for release and is expected to be launched by mid-year under ideal conditions, targeting manufacturing applications.
